Students shine at the Carroll County Invitational!

On Saturday, March 9, 2022 Carroll County students had the opportunity to participate in the International Academic Competitions History, Geography, and Science Bees. Temple Elementary School had twenty three students register and compete on Saturday and they were all impressive!

In the History category we had four 5th grade students make it to the finals and place in the top of the county. Owen Andrews finished 6th, Landon Bailey finished 5th, Barrett Garmon finished 2nd, and Ayden Eassey finished 1st in the county. All of these students qualified for the National event in Orlando, FL in June. 

In the Geography category, we had six students to make it to the finals and qualify to go to the National event in Orlando. In 5th grade, Riley Powers placed 7th, Owen Andrews placed 2nd, and Landon Bailey finished 1st in the county! In 4th Grade, Rhegan Hill placed 1st in the county! In 3rd grade, Kane Baker placed 3rd and Judd Weaver placed 1st in county! 

Finally in the Science category, we had nine students make it to the finals and qualify for the National event in Orlando! In 5th grade, Riley Powers and Landon Bailey tied for 5th place, Chance Jenkins placed 4th, and Ayden Eassey finished 2nd in the county. In 4th grade, Zion Jones placed 3rd and Rhegan Hill placed 2nd in the county. Finally, in the 3rd grade, Kane Baker finished 6th, Will Dwiggins finished 4th, and Judd Weaver finished 2nd in the county!

We are so proud of all of our tigers and their hard work! It's a great day to be a Tiger!
