Fourth Grade student places 3rd in State Technology Competition

Abby Gribben

Fourth Grade student Abby Gribben at Temple Elementary placed 1st place in the Carroll County Technology Competition in the Productivity Design category for 3rd and 4th grade. She used Google Forms to create a survey about our Snack Shack and how to improve it. She then sent the form to all 3rd-5th grade students through Google Classroom, collected the data, then compiled the data into charts and graphs using Google Docs and Google Sheets. She used Google Slides to create a presentation to present the information she collected. She then moved on to compete in the Regional Competition the first week of February where she competed against several counties. She also placed first at the Regional Competition. Abby's project was then submitted to the state technology competition where she competed against all 3rd and 4th grade students in the state of Georgia. She received the news in mid April that she placed 3rd in the state in Productivity Design. She was the only elementary student in Carroll County to place at the state level this year! We are so very proud of her hard work and dedication to this project this year. She did an amazing job on a premier project!
