 Ms. Denny began her career in education with the Polk County School System in 2000. She worked as a fourth grade teacher at Cherokee Elementary School. In 2002, Ms. Denny moved to the Cobb County School System where she worked as an inclusive Early Intervention fifth grade teacher at Harmony- Leland Elementary School. She then transferred to Teasley Elementary School as a kindergarten, first, and second grade Early Intervention teacher. She joined the Carroll County School System in 2004 as a second and third grade teacher with Ithica Elementary. After five years, she became an Instructional Coach for the county. In 2011, she became the Assistant Principal at Villa Rica Elementary School.

Ms. Denny’s educational credentials include her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education as well as her Master’s and Specialist degrees from Jacksonville State University in Educational Leadership.


"I am honored to have the opportunity to continue reaching, teaching, and inspiring all students at Temple Elementary," Ms. Denny said. "My passion for education involves providing an exciting, rigorous, safe learning environment for all students. My commitment to building positive relationships and leading by example will go hand in hand while exuding Tiger Pride!"


Superintendent Scott Cowart shared that Ms. Denny’s experience at the elementary level and passion of excellence made her an obvious choice for the principalship at Temple Elementary. "Ms. Denny knows how to lead people and is focused on the success of every student. Additionally, Ms. Denny is excited about continuing the direction that has been charted at Temple Elementary. She will be an asset for Temple Elementary and the entire school district."

 

Ms. Denny has two children, Catherine (12) and Scott (11).
