Radical Readers is a program offered to teach and enhance phonics skills, reading comprehension and fluency. Students read fiction and non-fiction passages. Story mapping for is used for comprehension and retell of main idea and details. Radical Readers encourages students to build vocabulary and make connections with the text. The purpose of the program is to encourage students to be confident readers.
